One of the thieves is Ed's sister, who cannot be Charlene, an only child, and must therefore be Beverly. The other thief is either Billy or Charlene, his wife. Douglas, who was on the scene, is neither one of the thieves nor the driver (since he can't drive), so he must be the lookout.
 
Ed is neither one of the thieves nor the lookout. With his lng crininal record, he can't be the driver, who was first arrested less than two years ago. His therefore the one not involved.
 
Charlene, an only child, cannot be the driver, who has a brother. She must therefore be one of the thieves, and her husband Billy must be the driver.
